3 Things to Check Before Your RIDE
Have you checked your A, B, C’s?
A is for AIR!
Have you checked your tire pressure?
Give it a squeeze!
If it feels like an apple 🍎 you have TOO MUCH AIR!
If it feels like a banana 🍌 you’re running TOO LOW!
Does it feel like an orange 🍊 ? Well, then you are JUST RIGHT!
B is for BRAKES!
It’s not very fun (or safe) if…
You cannot safely reach your brakes while holding onto the handlebars. This can be tricky with kids’ bikes, but proper reach will ensure safety and confidence for their RIDE.
Only one brake works. We need to be able to engage BOTH brakes in order to RIDE safely and confidently.
C is for CHAIN!
Use your senses to check in with your chain. What does it look like? What does it sound like?
Is it funky and gunky? TIME FOR A CLEAN!
Does it sound like the Sahara Desert? Let’s quench its thirst after we clean it with a fresh layer of CHAIN LUBE!
Does it have a brain of its own and mysteriously skip through its gears? Survey says… CLEAN IT and LUBE IT UP!
Get in the habit of checking your A, B, C’s to set the foundation for a safe, confident and FUN RIDE!
